Halflight has been together over 10 years in various guises, playing all manner of gigs from pubs, clubs, bars, schools, parties, weddings… you name it. Since school we’ve shared a passion for music and the line up has more or less remained the same, which means we’re in tune with each other (excuse the pun) and we’re very tight as a band.

Our emphasis is on quality and authenticity. We love what we do, and it comes through in our performances.

We’re a five piece band comprising the following…

Paul – Lead Vocals

Paul is our soulful and larger-than-life frontman who shares the lead vocals with Sam. Paul tends to sing our more funky and dancey numbers.

Sam – Lead Vocals and Guitar

Sam has fronted the band since its inception back in school days. With more of a rock influence, Sam now shares the lead role with Paul to ensure the right voice for the right song. Wait till you hear those creamy harmonies!

Grant – Bass

Grant’s bass playing has been the bedrock of our melodic rhythm section for over ten years. He’s responsible for the er… ‘grooves that make you move’.

Steve – Guitars / vocals

Steve has been around since day one providing his talents in lead guitar, rhythm guitar and backing vocals.

John – Drums

John teaches drums for a living, so as you can imagine, he’s pretty good at it. With a wealth of experience in multiple styles, John is our beat-specialist.
