If you and your guests don’t mind the long drive to West Quantoxhead in Somerset, it could be one of the best wedding reception venues in the South West area. Beautiful views, manicured grounds, an amazing manor house complete with victorian orangery, a banqueting hall to seat 130 guests and a great hall with a huge fireplace and adjoining smaller rooms.
The house enjoys the setting of a hundred acres of deer park and views over the quantock hills. It’s kept in excellent condition and the staff are professional and attentive.
It’s possible to invite up to 250 guests to your evening reception and they can be easily accommodated in the large hall. We’ve played at this venue on several occasions and the hall is great acoustically and practically. There’re rooms for those who don’t like the noise to go and talk, but not so many that your guests will disperse too far. It’s also practical having a separate room for the wedding breakfast and the evening party.
An excellent venue in winter or summer, and an impressive venue to hold your wedding and reception. This is one of our favourite places to play. There’s even 31 luxury bedrooms that are reserved for your wedding night as well as a hidden cottage for the bride and bridesmaids to stay in the night before the wedding.
